This espresso maker makes great, sizzling coffee. It simply brews it up right without a fuss. I have paired mine with a #4 Swiss Gold everlasting filter and completely find it irresistible. This coffee maker does now nothing however make just proper espresso. It would not inform time, it does not have any automated functions, it would not have alternate settings - you simply push the brew howeverton and it brews nice coffee every time.
That mentioned, there are a couple of small gripes that would not keep me from purchasing this product once more. One is the cost. It's a piece expensive in comparability with different espresso makers in its "class." For much less cash which you may get a machine with all of the afore-mentioned perks and frills. Can I assure you they're going to, quite simply, make espresso as good as this one? No, I can't. You're obviously purchasing the Krups name and for what is sort of a bit of espresso making art or furniture - but it surely does what it should with out a problems. There is something to be stated for by no implys having to reset the clock or performs - just push the howeverton and get nice espresso each time.
The different minor-issue I have is the unusual design of the pot. What different reviewers have mentioned is right. You do have to fully invert the pot to empty out the closing bit of coffee on account of the peculiar design. This isn't essential apart from to get out the final 5-6 ounces of coffee, nevertheless it would not really current an issue to me - it's not messy or the rest, simply extraordinary.
Also, the pot did include a strong chemical odor in it, as some of the other reviewers have talked about. I did now not make or drink any coffee from the laptop until it used to be long gone. UPDATE 01/25/2012: Just wish to say that 2 1/2 months later, still loving this espresso maker. I don't suppose the pot pours too sluggish like other reviewers have said and it truly works simply wonderful, if a piece extraordinary. I made espresso this morning.

I love this coffee maker! It's been a long time when you keep in mind that I had my 1st Krups, & their more recent adaptations did not get the water as scorching as this one previouser model,until now. This does the job, brews an excellent pot of coffee, keeps it scorching for hrs & still tastes great. I'm very picky about my coffee. I'd gone to a french press because I could not get a good pot within the electrical drip(my outdated Krups went to my X). So now I truly have this version & like it. It's an extraordinarily graceful design, simple on auto off once it is brewed,& the ten cup karaf preserves it piping scorching without that acidic taste u get when espresso stands warm. This dimension is excellent for 4 lg cups/mug. Enjoy.

This used to be the most effective having a look espresso maker lets find, saw it, needed to have it. This is my 1 of three Krups and it makes a really perfect cup of espresso. Coffee stays super sizzling for a minimal of 3 hours.
Drawbacks: I suppose it pours a little bit gradual and the markings on the facet are a little bit onerous to learn. My husband supposes the requirements for descaling every forty runs is extreme.
